approximately 44,000 (2014 census). The town is home to Virginia
Polytechnic Institute and State University. website: blacksburg.gov.
Town Council meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesdays
each month at 7:30 pm at the Blacksburg Municipal Building and
are open to the public. The meetings are televised on WTOB, Cable
Channel 2.
