Robotic welding systems joint
venture with Kemppi OY
KEMPPI OY has joined forces with
ABB Robotics to develop fully equipped
robotic welding systems/packages.
ABB has indicated that the design
of the welding packages will
be modular, cost-effective projects
for companies to easily install or
to upgrade into a robotic welding
system.
Kemppi equipment will be featured at
all certified ABB Robotics welding lab
locations, enabling customers to
conduct robotic welding trials on
the latest equipment.
The joint business
ventures
will
cover
Europe, Asia, Africa and
South America, and the
cooperation is also non-
exclusive.

®
robotic
welding cells are complete
robot systems avail-
able in several flexible
and versatile standard
modular packages.
The KempArc weld-
ing system automation
range
allows
flexible
configu-
ration to suit customers’ specific welding
applications. The range is designed for
automated MIG/MAG welding, with 350
and 450 amp power classes available.
Each power source offers a wide
range of welding curves for pulse or
synergic MIG/MAG welding, ensuring a
quick set-up.
