Canterbury is a typical historic

English city located in the

district of Kent in southeast

of England. It is one of the

most visited cities in the UK.

The city centre is dominated

by Canterbury Cathedral - the

oldest Cathedral in England.

It is an impressive building with

plenty of ornate details and

stained glass windows. There

are also the ancient ruins of St.

Augustine’s Abbey, St. Martin’s

Church and the Norman

Castle and these represent

the city’s history, heritage and

culture. The city has vibrant

leisure attractions including

fine restaurants, welcoming

pubs and quaint cafes. The

city centre is a pedestrianised

area with charming black-

and-white Victorian houses.

There is also a great selection

of shops. Canterbury is very

close to the beautiful beaches

of Whitstable and Herne Bay

as well as stunning English

countryside.

The Plus centre is a rural

campus located at the

University of Kent. It is built on

300 acres of parkland and is

less than 20-minutes walk from

the city centre. It is situated

on a hill and has stunning

views of the Cathedral. There

are various modern buildings

surrounded by green open

spaces, fields and forests. The

campus is self-contained and

includes all the necessary

amenities such as bars, shops, a

sports centre, a bookshop and
