How it works

Bidirectional WiFi

communication

The App

The free smartphone and tablet App can be

downloaded from the App store or Google Play.

The App provides control for up to 80 heating

and monitoring devices, as well as 256 other

LightwaveRF modules. Basic App features include

grouping, scene lighting, energy monitoring,

heating scheduling, temperature reporting,

scheduled events, and socket / dimmer locking.

The Lightwave Link

The ‘Lightwave Link’ is the key to the system.

It relays commands between the App and

modules such as dimmers, switches, sockets,

heating and outdoor lighting. It requires a

connection to your home broadband WiFi router.

One Link will cover a typical large house, but

the standard free smartphone App will allow up

to 3 to be used to extend the RF range.

LightwaveRF Modules

Installing LightwaveRF in the home is very

simple. No complex planning or alteration to the

building fabric is needed. No special installation

training is necessary; many modules are plug

and play, and wired units only require an installer

to have a Part P qualification to wire them.

They use standard 35mm backboxes.

No extra cabling is required.

Lightwave Link & Apps

Control LightwaveRF devices from anywhere.

Download free iOS, Android & Web Apps.

Lightwave Link connects LightwaveRF Apps to devices.

Simply plug into your broadband router.

Magnetic Switches & Triggers

Attach to a window/door frame using adhesive strips.

Automatically turn on/off devices when window opens.

Use triggers to turn down radiators if windows are open.

Save energy by preventing heat loss.

Wire-free Switching & Dimming

Totally wire-free and portable.

Does not require cabling, mains power or back box.

Can switch or dim multiple LightwaveRF devices.

Ideal to control plug-ins, sockets, relays and dimmers.

13A & Plug-in Switching & Dimming

Designer 13A sockets to match the dimmer switch range.

Each socket is rated to 13A and approved to BS 1363.

Standard wiring and 35mm back boxes.

‘Socket-lock’ facility can lock sockets off for safety.

Sockets can be locked on to prevent unintentional

In-line Switching & Dimming

Relays operate mains or low voltage devices.

Control curtains, gates, garage doors (LW821 Relay).

Control large lighting circuits (LW830 In-line Relay).

Control relays from the App, Remote or Wire-free Switch.

Lightwave IP56 boxes allow relays to be mounted outside.

Hand-held Remote Controls

The simplest way to control LightwaveRF devices.

Control multiple devices independently.

Switch on/off, dim and perform scene lighting.

2-Way Dimmers

Identical in appearance to standard LightwaveRF dimmers.

They act as ‘slave’ switches in a LightwaveRF 2-way circuit.

Up to six 2-way dimmers can be connected to one master.

Connect directly or in a ‘daisy chain’.

No need for intermediate switches.

Central Heating Control

Use Home Thermostat & Boiler Switch to control your boiler.

Schedule, monitor and control your heating in real time.

Use the LightwaveRF App and Link to control it anywhere.

Make sure you never return home to a cold house.

Take control of your energy bills.
