This small-production blanco is exactly what the tequila world

needs - quality at a bargain price point. Calle is easy sipping

on its own, but also makes killer margaritas and for the

slightly more ambitious, tequila Negronis.

The grapes were fermented in stainless steel (75%) sur lie and oak casks

(25%). A light straw color, the wine presents aromas of apple, apricot

and pear. Bright acidity lends lift and structure to the long finish.

A barrel fermented Verdejo produced from grapes grown in the

Las Suertes vineyard planted more than 120 years ago. Fermented with

wild yeast and aged on its lees with battonage for 12 months in French oak.

Sauvignon Blanc was cold macerated, gently crushed, and cold

stabilized for 48 hours. Racked to stainless steel tanks (88%) and neutral

French oak barrels (12%), the wine was aged on its lees for six months.
