Primary Systemic Therapy

Indicated in cases where locally advanced
•
But, in cases where chemo is inevitable, up front use may avoid risk
of delays
•
May allow time for gene testing, especially in younger women in
whom risk of a gene is higher and may wish to chose mastectomy
(unilateral or bilateral) if positive.
