Single Audit Section
The Single Audit Section is established to comply with the Federal and State Single Audit Acts. These Acts
establish audit requirements for state and local governments that receive federal and state financial assistance. It
provides for independent audits of financial operations, including compliance with certain provisions of federal law
and regulations. These requirements are established to ensure that audits are made on an organization-wide basis,
rather than on a grant-by-grant basis. The accompanying financial statements are presented to reflect state and
federal participation in various projects and programs, as adopted by the Greensboro City Council.
