Holocaust Museum Houston was proud to
host the 27th annual conference of the World
Federation of Jewish Child Survivors of the
Holocaust and Descendants, in partnership
with Generations of the Shoah International,
during October 2015. Almost 350 survivors
and descendants from around the world
were on hand for workshops, seminars and
opportunities to be together with others who
shared similar experiences.

Chairing the conference were Second Generation members Sandy Lessig
and Judy Mucasey and Child Survivor Chaja Verveer.
More than 180 survivors and descendants joined the Museum for lunch and
a tour after the conference.
Seen among the crowd were Fredda Friedlander, immediate past Museum Chair
Mark Mucasey, Survivor Ruth Steinfeld and Allison Feldman.
Survivor Ben Waserman of Houston attended the opening of a special exhibit
on the efforts of the French organization Oeuvre de Secours aux Enfants during
World War II.
