Dear Readers and Writers,
Spring of 2016 marks the revival of Borealis, the resurrection from
a memory of this school that seemed irretrievable without a touch
of help from the creative minds of Appleton North. We thank you,
writers, for flooding our inboxes with your submissions and flesh-
ing out the content to a level that us editors never fathomed possible
within the first year of the magazine's relaunch. And we also invite
you, readers, into the artistry of Appleton North displayed in paint-
ings, short stories, photographs, and poetry by your peers. The ideas
and subjects expressed in this issue of Borealis do not necessarily
reflect those of the magazine and the school, and are entirely be-
longing to the writers.
