The Ballot for election of Council will be
held on Thursday, 21st November, from
eleven o'clock
to
one o'clock,
in
the
Secretary's Office, 45 Kildare Street, Dublin.
Voting papers should reach the Secretary not
later than one o'clock on the 21st November.
HALF-YEARLY GENERAL MEETING.
The Half-yearly General Meeting of the
Society will be held at half-past two o'clock,
p.m., on Tuesday, 26th November,' in the
Offices of the Society, 45 Kildare Street,
Dublin.
MEETINGS OF THE COUNCIL.
3rd October.
Twenty-one Members present.
Draft Circuit Court Rules.
A copy of draft Circuit Court Rules, at
present under the consideration of the Circuit
Court Rules-making Committee, was sub
mitted to the Council.
A resolution was
passed by the Council requesting the Minister
for Justice to suspend the consideration of
the draft rules by the Rules-making Com
mittee pending their consideration by the
Council, and requesting that the Council be
furnished with a sufficient number of copies
for that purpose.
Registry of Deeds Office.
A letter was read from a firm of Dublin
Solicitors drawing attention to delays in the
matter of
furnishing searches
from
the
Registry of Deeds Office.
A
reply was
directed stating that if the Council were
furnished with particulars of recent cases in
which unreasonable delays have occurred,
they would communicate with the proper
quarters in the matter.
Counsel in Court.
In reply to a letter from a firm of Dublin
Solicitors the Council expressed the opinion
that Counsel should not appear in Court
unless attended by the Solicitor instructing
him or by a representative of such Solicitor.
Certificates.
Two applications by Solicitors for renewal
of practising certificates were dealt with.

Court of Examiners.
The report of the Court of Examiners on
the October Examinations and awards of
Scholarships was submitted and adopted.
