Do you have any advice for new Property Appraiser employees?
Don’t be overwhelmed with all of the rules and information. It will take time, and by that, I’m
two years in and still don’t claim to know it all. Be open to change. The statutes and rules
change, so be flexibly to adapt. Find a buddy. The CAMA system is complicated- like Oz.
Having a buddy to help you down the yellow brick road of valuation makes the trip much
more fun!
