Conclusions

Brain gliomas still represent a major challenge due to the

complexity of the medical management and impact on

patients’ life

The use of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy need

to be tailored according to histology and molecular biology

as well as the clinical situation

Trials are ongoing in the attempt to answer relevant open

questions, as are the correct sequence/combination of

chemo-radiotherapy in some particular tumor subtypes

and the role of biologic targeted agents
