We called the position Youth Director but it doesn’t have to be that formal. An Organizer
may be a better word. A person that can put a few events together on maybe two days
out of the whole season next year. The most it takes is a few phone calls to order
necessities and some ‘helping hands’ for assistance. Mix in a bunch of kids for
attendees and Voi La … we have a bowl of fun cooked up. Think about it…Let me
know… Call me. I don’t want this Kids’ Program to go by the wayside.
The most recent activity as of this writing was the NCYC Rendezvous. WATCH OUT …
the FLEET’S IN !!! Wow is all I can say about this gathering of boats. Big hugs and a
‘job well-done’ goes out to Fleet Captains Greg and Yvonne Murray, as well as the
whole Fleet Team, for their outstanding skills in bringing fun and good-times to us this
season. Unless you have been in their position, you have no idea of what all it takes to
bring these rendezvous’ together for us. Thanks again, you’se guys!!
If I were making a speech of this, I would say that I’ve been a bit long-winded. I’ll stop at
saying it’s getting too long … virtually … and I should be signing off. So, there’s plenty
of more fun to be had at our beloved Club. Don’t be a stranger. Come on out and enjoy
what we have planned! See you on the Island …
