ULSTER RUGBY EVENTS
HONORARY SECRETARY NETWORKING
EVENT HELD IN BELFAST
On the night of the Ulster v Leinster pre-season
friendly at Kingspan Stadium, Club Honorary
Secretaries across the nine counties of Ulster
came together at an event designed to recognise
their contribution to the game of rugby, initiate
discussion and share best practice ideas amongst
their counterparts.
The evening involved a training element where key
Ulster Branch staff and volunteers contributed to
discussions around Branch updates and support
structures, followed by complimentary food and
refreshments in the Spirit of ‘99 Members Bar and
a ticket for the match that evening.
Omagh RFC Honorary Secretary, Malcolm Hill
commented; “I was reluctant to drive all the way
up to Belfast to attend this event but I’m glad I did.
Getting information such as the new regulations
and the domestic rugby structure was really useful
and I’ve already been able to relay branch contact
information on to our committee. I will be trying my
best to attend the next event and would encourage
other secretaries to go as well.”
