In the Summer of 1982, my grandparents took us on a vacation to Kings Island Amusement
Park in Ohio. It was the first time my Mom let me ride on the Beast Roller Coaster by myself,
which was the fastest wooden rollercoaster
at the time. I was also able to walk around
the park by myself and go on the rides
since I was older than my two sisters. As
you can see in the photo, I also met my
favorite cartoon character at the time,
Jabberjaw.
There was also a professional tennis
tournament at the park at the same time
so while I would be coming back from the
amusement park or the pool, I met Jimmy
Connors, Ivan Lendl, and John McEnroe
since they were all staying at the same
hotel.
This was a great family vacation that I
have very fond memories of since my
Grandparents both passed away.
