Only base treatment on the

palpable pulse rate, not the

monitor’s rate!

Often it is best to discover

and treat the underlying cause

of the dysrhythmia, rather

than directly treating the

dysrhythmia.

Assess for the cause of the

dysrhythmia and treat

accordingly.

Myocardial Infarction

Hypoxia

Sepsis

Electrolyte Imbalance

Dehydration

Anxiety

Exercise

Caffeine

Asthma Medications
