Equipment
The appropriate available equipment is to be summoned and utilized at the outset of all EMS encounters. This
means that for any given call that is dispatched, the appropriate equipment is to be utilized early if possible.
For
all ALS runs the cardiac monitor, oxygen, and house bag is the minimal equipment required; they are to
be taken into the scene on the first entry.
On cases that may require an emergent airway, the airway kit and
drug box is to be taken into the residence as well.
