POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
Distinguished Chair of Population Health
The Medica Research Institute is seeking a nationally recognized senior
investigator to be the inaugural Distinguished Chair in Population Health. As
an endowed position, this role will conduct focused studies to explore overall
health and the distribution of health among populations/defined groups.
Research shall emphasize multi-determinants of population health and the life
course that impacts mortality, health-related quality of life and the reduction of
disparities in health outcomes among different subpopulations/groups.
We are interested in candidates that have profoundly impacted the science of
population health as evidenced by its translation into models for health care
delivery and accountable communities for health. The ideal candidate has an
established research program observed nationally for advancing their field.
Candidates shall hold an earned doctorate in fields such as health informatics,
epidemiology, medicine, sociology, health economics, demography, psychology,
statistics, public health, or another relevant discipline.
