Dear Colleagues:

Get ready for the next evolution in

collaborative leadership and cooperative

teamwork. We’re excited to bring you the

new, third edition of

Mars Rover Challenge.

A long-time favorite of trainers, we’ve

taken it to the next level. We’ve amped up

the learning into a more intuitive structure

to enhance your training experience, and

added tools to better prepare you as a

facilitator.

But wait, there’s more!

We’ve redesigned the participant workbook to more easily capture key learning points

and discussion topics, as well as adding new, individual activities that promote critical

thinking and reflection. We’ve also created a more compelling scenario for the activity,

incorporated multimedia into the accompanying PowerPoint slides, and introduced

the Collaborative Leadership Model as a guiding framework for practicing effective

leadership.

Your participants will love the heightened challenge and the fun of this experiential

learning game. And you’ll see teamwork and leadership skills improve in your

organization.

See page 11 for more information on what’s new in this new edition.

We’re publishing resources for developing great people skills. Thanks for choosing HRDQ.

Regards,

Bridging the Communication Divide

With the HRDQ Style Series Model serving as the

overarching framework of

Bridging the Communication

Divide

(the same model that is responsible for the

development of more than one million people), the

adventure starts when participants—a group of Peace

Corps volunteers—are dropped into a remote location with

a mission to build a bridge. Working in two teams, they

must use sound communication with each other and their

partner teams to complete the construction. But little do

they know their teams are made up of opposing personality

styles—and that’s when the real challenge begins. Get your

teams communicating better today!
