let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of
Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

, whom the master has put in
charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the
proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing
so when he returns. I tell you the truth; he will put him in charge of all his
possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My
master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow
servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
The master of that servant
will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not
aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the
hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(Matthew 24: 23-

Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father [so to speak], and the
scriptures portray a series of events to follow because the scripture says: “
‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.’
The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion; you will rule in the
midst of your enemies. Your troops will be willing on your day of battle.
Arrayed in holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn you will receive the
dew of your youth.”
(Psalm 110:1-3)
Conjoining this understanding are the
words of Isaiah: “This is what the LORD says: ‘Heaven is my throne, and
the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where
will my resting-place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so
they came into being?’ declares the LORD. This is the one I esteem: he who
is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.’ ”
(Isaiah 66:1-2)
The
son of man, like Elijah, must prepare everything; when it’s prepared Jesus
will come. Not before.
Divine Mercy, Not Sacrifice
Jesus completed once and for all the work He came to earth to complete.
Jesus did not desire to suffer, but suffering was Satan’s last tactic to deter or
defeat Jesus. The Father did not desire suffering nor propitiate what Jesus
willingly accepted. Jesus accepted what was put upon Him, and He need not
return until all is placed under his footstool: on earth Satan’s head is
crushed. The scriptures say, “ ‘Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but
a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you
were not pleased.’ Then I
said,
