I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips,

speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and
your truth from the great assembly. Do not withhold your mercy from me,

; may your love and your truth always protect me.”
(Psalm 40: 6 -11)
Does the Psalm pertain only to Jesus or does it extend to others? It pertains
to others because Paul provides clarity, saying, “First he said, ‘Sacrifices and
offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you
pleased with them’ [although the law required them to be made]. Then he
said, ‘Here I am, I have come to do your will’ [who, is he, who said this].

made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
“Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again
and again he offers the same sacrifices,

But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat

The Holy Spirit also testifies to us
about this. First he says: ‘This is the covenant I will make with them after
that time,’ says the Lord. ‘I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write
them on their minds.’ Then he adds:

Who following Jesus will take

Holy Spirit of God

ring true will they make a difference for he who was anointed? Or
will these words justify the rejection that must again take place? Jesus
anoints the son because Jesus is the Father, and He has revealed what the
Holy Spirit, the counselor, reveals. The counselor knows full well who
roams the earth and why. Jesus said, “All men will hate you because of me,
but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. When you are persecuted
