Spiritual evolution is a very slow process in terms of our calendar years, but
a very short period in terms of eternity. The final deliverance or victory
grows nearer. Deliverance was and is the issue for a rebellious people time
and again. Deliverance remains relevant for today because most of
humanity is in bondage, similar to the Hebrews of that time. What is about
to come upon the earth to purify and cleanse humanity once again—the
third and final Passover—must take place.
Jesse’s Root, “Loving Deliverer”

David, Son of Man
Kingship was always on the minds of the Hebrews, but the prophetic reality
in time concerning Jesse’s Root, a loving deliverer, concerns certain titles.
The son of David, the seed of Abraham, culminates in the fulfillment of
those Divine prophetic pronouncements. This reality has astounded
humanity throughout time, because of the inability to relate the specifics of
whom or to whom such applies.
God promised one to rule and protect humanity from their foes, so at the
time Saul was appointed king. He fought on Israel’s behalf to defend them.
Proud, insecure, and perhaps ineffective regarding the Philistine army, all of
Saul’s armies were afraid of the giant who led the Philistines. Jesse had sons,
two had served Saul and the youngest was a shepherd of Jesse’s flock. As is
seen time and again, the weakest became the strongest. The enemy must be
defeated by faith that does what was seemingly impossible.
David desired to serve, but he was physically weak yet spiritually strong.
From this and many other excerpts from the Old Testament, we can
understand that the covenant is a promise of deliverance from the foe—the
defeat of evil—to crush Satan’s head, doing what no other could or would
do, precisely as stated by God in the beginning. A weak man would be
victorious and would come forth as the seed of Abraham. A mere man and
his lineage would carry forward from the line of David to receive an allotted
inheritance and kingship over the people. Anointed and chosen by God,
this mere man would deliver God’s people from evil.
Jesse’s root, David, engages the enemy, and it is written: “Now the Israelites
had been saying, ‘Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes
out to defy Israel. The king will give great wealth to the man who kills him.
He will also give him his daughter in marriage and will exempt his father’s
family from taxes.’ David asked the men standing near him, ‘What will be
done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from
