Brothers Jewellers of Waring Street, Belfast.
Additionally from this season, not only will
the Player of the Season receive a superb

URSC: PLAYER OF THE
SEASON AWARD 2016/17
URSC is delighted to announce that the
2016/17 Jack Kyle Bursary recipient
will be Robert Lyttle. The bursary is
worth £2,500.
Commenting on the award, URSC Chair
Jonathan Bill said: “Rob has already shown
he has an eye for the try line and, as a
bonus, he is impressive from the tee too.
Hopefully this award will help him to kick
on!”
In 2007, the URSC inaugurated the Jack
Kyle Bursary. This is 100% sponsored by
the URSC and is awarded on an annual
basis to an up and coming member of the
Ulster Rugby Hughes Insurance Academy.
As with previous seasons, the Bursary,
is part funded by the URSC’s Big Ballot,
many prizes for which are generously
donated by local businesses.
The Bursary, which is now in its tenth
year, includes past recipients: Craig
Gilroy, Paddy McAlister, Mark McCrea, Ian
Whitten, Iain Henderson, Stuart Olding,
Angelo Marica, Alan O’Connor and Adam
McBurney. Last year the bursary was
awarded to Dave Shanahan.
