LAW-742 Global Legal Skills

Prof. Rosa Kim,

2 credits day; 2 credits evening.

Summer Sweden

Legal practice in an increasingly globalizing world requires knowledge of different sources of

law and legal systems. This course offers students the opportunity to develop research, writing

and oral advocacy skills in a global context, by exploring legal problems governed by

international law. The course will also include discussion of comparative aspects of law and

advocacy. Students will engage actively through discussion, group work, simulations, and

presentations. There will be a substantial writing component, in addition to a series of shorter

assignments. This course meets the upper-level writing requirement.
