In concentration you are riding
On your open chariot,
Gathered and collected,
Compact and dense
And neat,
And the siddhis rest at your sides,
Potent and at peace,
With the nourishing power
Of all well-being
And all harmony –
Yet, inconspicuous you ride,
You who could
With your knowledge
Shatter the universe...
Beautiful Ganesha,
Witness and Guardian
Of the Shakti...

With great knowledge
And adoration,
To wear the Shakti’s robes,
Their deepest mystery
Of absolute charm
And power
To draw and create –
As if in a performance
Of the yajna
You draped your figure
And your mass
In their elegance –
