Now that we have reviewed the

major changes to the Code, you can

see how important it is to have accu-

rate information on the construction

of an existing swimming pool. If you

have been working with a swimming

pool management contractor, they

would likely have measurements of

your swimming pool on file. To com-

ply with many of these changes, a

community manager must know the

size of their pool and whether the

pool is over or under the 2,000

square foot surface area threshold.

The surface area of the water is what

needs to be measured and not the

pool deck or any areas not covered

by water.
