Fire Department
Hello from Mechanic Falls Fire and Rescue. It’s that time of year again, when we get together and vote on how the
town runs for another year. We hope the last year was good to all of you, if it had a few bumps, I hope they weren’t too big
and that the Fire and Rescue was there to help make it a little easier.
The Fire dept. is doing good right now and morale is high. There has been an influx of new blood lately and these
young gals and guys are giving it their all to help the community. From Fire prevention at school, Community Day
demonstrations, Halloween for the kids, Christmas Spirit, to maintaining the equipment at station, and training to keep their
skills up. Please, don’t be afraid to stop by and say “Hi” and check out your fire and rescue department.
The new E-3 is up and running and responding to many calls. We are very happy with it, so far it is a good fire truck
that will give many years of service. We thank you for supporting the purchase. The fire department continues to maintain
the other vehicles, some have required repairs, but that is to be expected as they are providing years of use. This year’s
budget reflects the needs of the department and protects its citizens when called upon. We hope that you all will continue
your support.
