Conclusions

• Systematic errors have different and

larger

dose effects

than random errors

• A margin is always necessary. Without the proper

margin underdosage will occur

• To determine margins it is important to now the statistics

of the geometrical errors

• Since delineation uncertainties are systematic, they will

have a large effect on the required margin
