Margin beyond clinically evident erythema/
induration 1-2 cm
•
Thickness of lesion must be determined to ensure
adequate coverage in depth
•
Most lesions can be treated with electrons
•
Bolus is required to avoid skin sparing
•
Low energy X-rays (100 kV) may sometimes be
used
•
For deep, bulky or circumferential lesions
photons may be needed
