7. The party making the application shall

leave four copies of the Notice of Motion

with the Registrar of the High Court oi

Appeal for Ireland two days at latest before

the day mentioned in the notice for hearing

the application.

8. The High Court of Appeal for Ireland

shall sit in Dublin for hearing such applica

tions.

9. The costs of such applications shall be

taxed by the Taxing Master of the Court to

which the proceeding is transferred.

Solicitors' Golfing Society.

A stroke competition was held at Hermitage

Golf Club, on Thursday, 29th September.

Thirty-six members took out cards. Mr.

W. T. Sheridan, with a nett score of 80, was

the winner; Mr, R. Sirnnions and Mr. J.

Sheil, with 81 each, tying for second place.

Mr. E. W. Mooney won the prize for best

gross score with 87.

fe* In the .afternoon a foursome sweepstakes

was played, and was won by Messrs. Seales

and Sheil, 2 down ;

Messrs. J. A. Denning

and J.' Moore being*second, with 4 down.

This book, written by Mr. Charles Gamble,

President of the Incorporated Law Society

of

Ireland, and which has been

issued

recently, contains an interesting account of

the Solicitors' profession in Ireland over a

period of

three centuries, and deals

in

particular with

the work done by

the

Incorporated Law Society of Ireland since

its* formation.

The price of the book is

three shillings and sixpence, by post three

shillings^ and tenpence.
