Ensure HAZOP is properly documented with consideration of later SIL
assessment activities.
Consider in design likely high risk (high SIL) areas to avoid frequent testing that
impacts operations, e.g. redundancy of valves, to avoid later design changes.
Equipment and package specifications must consider any potential FS
requirements to avoid later disputes with suppliers. Note the new and more
onerous requirements for suppliers related to their FS management.
Ensure design change management procedures reflect FS requirements at the
correct life cycle stage
