Clinical Presentation

• Loco-regional pain (90%) (often mistaken for “bone

growth” or injuries from sport or everyday activities)

• Swelling (70%) and/or palpable mass of the affected

site

• Fever (20%)

• Pathological fracture

• Weight loss, malaise

• Labs:

no blood, serum, or urine test specific for ES
