Obituary.

MR. JOHN F. O'RIORDAN, Solicitor, died

upon the 4th December, 1919, at his residence,

Hackett's Terrace, Cork.

Mr. O'Riordan served his apprenticeship

with Mr. Robert Deyos, Cork, was admitted

in Trinity Sittings, 1898, .and practised at

Cork.

Mr. William E. Garland, Solicitor, died

upon the 14th December, 1919,

. Mr. Garland served his apprenticeship with

the late Mr. Edward V. Garland, 4 Palace

Street, Dublin ;

was admitted in Hilary

Sittings, 1891, and practised at 73 Dame

Street, Dublin.

MR. EDMOND CROWE, Solicitor, died upon

the 20th December, 1919, at Water Park,

Ennis.

Mr. Crowe served his apprenticeship with

the late Mr. Aquila McMahon, 18 Suffolk

Street, Dublin; was admitted in Trinitj'

Sittings, 1893, and practised at Ennis.

Appointment.

Mr. George Ronaldson Reid, of 1 Lombard

Street, Belfast, has been appointed Solicitor to

the Post Office in Ireland, in room of Mr.

Edward Reginald Bate, retired.

Notary Public.

The Lord Chancellor has appointed the

following to be a Notary Public :—

John Ronan, Solicitor, 94 South Mall,

Cork.

Commissioners to Administer Oaths.

Supreme Court Rules.

By Order in Council dated 22nd December,

1919, the following amending Orders were

made under the Supreme Court of Judicature

(Ireland) Act, 1877.

ORDER LXIV., R. 13.

Services of pleadings, notices, summonses,

orders, rules, and other proceedings shall be

effected on Saturdays beiore. the hour of

1 o'clock in the afternoon.

ORDER LXV., R. 53.

The Taxing Master shall be at liberty until

further order to allow for printers' charges

the following :—

For each page containing an average

quantity of not less than 7 folios of 72 words,

the last or. only page to be in any case

allowed as a full page.
