1904 (9 Apr.) An Austrian Military picture postcard to Austria, bearing Franz Josef 5h blue green (surface damaged and lost 1/3 of

the basic stamp) tied by ‘K.u.K. KRIEGSMARINE/S.M.S./KAISERIN ELISABETH’ naval single-ring cds, Type II in black, on

both sides, with ‘LICHTERFEID/19.5.04’ arrival cds x 2. The S.M.S. Kaiserin Elisabeth left Pola on 24.7.1900, and arrived at Taku

on 8.9.1900. Later on, she was sunk by the Japanese in Tsingtao in 1914. Photo
