1894 Dowager first print 3 candarins orange-yellow, fabulous block of 10 (2 x 5) with interpane margins at top and foot, imperforate

horizontally between 2nd and 3rd row of stamps, thereby yielding two vertical imperforate between pairs, brilliant colour, centered

to left as is consistent with the other known strip of five containing this variety (cf. Christie's Swire, 30 Sept. 1991, lot 352), very

fine mint with full original gum, traces of rust at foot, a lovely showpiece and great rarity of Chinese philately. Chan 24b. Photo

We record six vertical pairs imperforate between and this is the only multiple. As they all have the same centering, we conclude that

only one sheet was printed with this error.
