I love being a police chief. Over the course of my short career,

I have had wonderful opportunities and faced a number a

grueling challenges. As many of you, I have attended the FBI

National Academy. One of the greatest things I learned in my

NA experience is that cops are not doing anything new to get

themselves in trouble. In each and every situation I face

regarding the performance issues of my personnel I can

generally find someone else who has faced a very similar

situation.
