Opened the new Council Chamber which has significantly improved the meeting experience and capabilities

Implemented new technology in our administrative services areas to streamline processes and improve efficiency

for our lean organization

Provided regional leadership to advance the Silicon Valley Regional Interoperability Communication System

FY 15-16 ACTIVITY GOALS

Advance the Council’s 2015 priorities and goals

Continue an evaluation of the organization’s effectiveness in meeting the Council’s priorities, including, but not

limited to the organization’s structure, policies, and processes

Lead Successor Agency efforts to further the community’s goals for the downtown and former redevelopment

area by implementing the LRPMP, constructing a parking garage, and overseeing the downtown investment pro-

jects

Provide guidance and support for the process to determine if the Council will place an infrastructure funding

measure on November 2016 election ballot

Actively participate in evaluating new water rate structure models that balance financial and environmental sus-

tainability

Oversee short and long-term water conservation efforts

Work with the community to enhance Morgan Hill’s quality of life

Lead the organization in a manner that fosters teamwork, advances the organization’s values, and improves ser-

vices

FINANCIAL COMMENTS

The compensation of the City Manager is established by an employment agreement with the City Council and is avail-

able for review on the City’s website. In addition, to further the City Council’s economic development goals and spur

private investment in Morgan Hill, the City’s economic development funding for personnel, programs, and initiatives is

included in the City Manager’s budget. Beginning in FY 15-16, a new Economic Development Coordinator will be hired

to assist the Economic Development Manager in developing a robust and effective program.
