General Plan Update, Morgan Hill 2035
Goal
The General Plan Update will maintain Morgan Hill’s family-friendly character and strong sense of community while
the community grows and prospers.
Strategy
The City Council will select and begin to analyze its preferred land use plan through the Environmental Impact
Report (EIR) process.
Strategy
By January 2016, the Council will receive a recommendation on strategies to modernize, simplify, and make
more flexible the existing RDCS process that result from an inclusive, transparent, review process.
Agricultural Preservation and Southeast Quadrant Use Plan
Goal
Morgan Hill will be a leader in preserving viable agriculture to the maximum amount feasible as part of its comprehen-
sive land use planning.
Strategy
Continue our efforts to work cooperatively with LAFCO, Santa Clara County, landowners, and other stake-
holders to advance the Council’s agricultural preservation and land use goals.
