BIOPHYSICAL SOCIETY NEWSLETTER

6

JULY

2015

About the Program

The 2016 Annual Meeting program highlights

scientific discoveries, methodological break-

throughs, and emerging technologies in the areas

of biophysics. Symposia will feature traditional

strengths of the Society, including advances

in multi-scale imaging, mechano-sensing and

-signaling, membrane biophysics, computational

studies, and systems biology. Additionally, we

are particularly excited about novel symposia that

focus on optogenetics, biomimetic models of the

cytoskeleton, biophysics of the immune system,

and a special symposium jointly sponsored with

the American Association of Physicists in

Medicine that bridges molecular biophysics

with clinical applications.
