East Peoria 86

Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students at Central

Junior High School in East Peoria Elementary School

District 86 will vacate an old building at the end of

this school year, and students will walk into a brand

new academic building in the fall. This project is the

culmination of more than a decade of planning on the

part of District 86 under the leadership of

Superintendent Tony Ingold and Director of

Operations and Finance Glen Penning.

Metamora 1

After graduation practice, an all-school picture was taken on the stadium field of students in the shape of a

cardinal, Metamora Township school’s mascot. Seniors were then served grilled hamburgers before they left

for the day.

End of Year Happenings

LeRoy Community 2

History comes ALIVE at LeRoy Elementary School

during the Wax Museum. Fifth grade students

research the 1800s and develop an understanding

of the major historical events and the influence of

key individuals.
