A NECESSITY FOR ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN EUROPEAN COMMUNITY LAW

COMMON MARKET

LAW REPORTS

Common Market Law Reports was

the first law reporter in any lan-

guage and in any country to devote

itself exclusively to the law of the

Common Market. Starting in 1962 it

is now in its 58th volume and in

1992 will celebrate its 30th year of

publication.

The Journal provides weekly reports

of cases from the European Court of

Justice, the E.C. Commission,

National Courts and Tribunals.

All major topics are covered includ-

ing: Employment, Environment,

Migrant Workers, Value Added Tax,

Import Restrictions, Patents and

Trade Marks, Arts & Entertainment,

Directives' effects.

Important draft directives or regula-

tions are also occasionally included

as well as practice notes and Com-

mission guidelines.

However, EEC Judgments Conven-

tion cases are reported in Interna-

tional Litigation Procedure and E.C.

antitrust cases are covered in

C.M.L.R. Antitrust Supplement. The

Supplement is supplied as part of a

subscription to Common Market

Law Reports and is also available

separately.

The judgments are reported in

English, using where necessary the

translations of the European Court

itself, but to hasten the reporting of

important European Court of Jus-

tice cases and for non English

national cases, legally qualified

translators are used. Thus the

Reports are able to provide sub-

scribers with the most up to date

and topical cases in this area of the

law.

DETAILED SUBJECT INDEX

Each CMLR issue contains its own

subject index. These are then

gathered together every four

months into very detailed 50 page

volume indexes, one for each of the

three volumes produced each year.

The judgments of the European

Court form the essential core of

Community law, and with the

advent of 1992, EEC legislation is

steadily increasing.
