7. SOCIETY'S ACCOUNTS FOR
THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER
1989
The Director General referred to the
Society's Accounts for the Year
ended 31, December 1989 which
disclosed a slight surplus. The
figures were subject to audit.
8. SOLICITORS BENEVOLENT
ASSOCIATION
Mr. John O'Connor addressed the
meeting on behalf of the Solicitors
Benevolent Assoc i a t i on.
Mr.
O'Connor said that the Association
was organised on a 32 county
basis. Those who are assisted by
the Association ranged in age from
4 to 80 years of age. The
Association greatly appreciated the
support which the profession gave
it. Mr. O'Connor also thanked the
Director General, James Ivers and
Chris Mahon, Director, Professional
Services, for their assistance. Mr.
O'Connor asked that the profession
continue to support the Associa-
tion and reminded members not to
forget* the Association when they
made Wills either for themselves or
for clients.
This concluded the business of
the meeting and the President
declared the meeting closed.
