Vice Commodores Comments…
Guess what, we did it again……it is Haul-Out weekend and it was another
successful year at North Channel Yacht Club.
The election results will soon be revealed to us and we will have another great list of
leaders for the Flag and Board of Directors to continue the work of running the Club.
This is the time when we look back at the boating season for 2017 and realize how
much the members of this club so unselfishly volunteer their time to keep the club
the awesome place that it is. We all need to take time to thank all of the week
managers, weekend OD’s, event leaders and all the support that those people made
to carry out their particular activity. I also want to thank the countless volunteers that
participated on a committee, work weekend or was just there to lend their support.
I want to thank Commodore Pat and his first Lady Nancy, for steering the ship in 2017
and moving the club forward positioning ourselves for the future. I can assure you
that each and every person on the Flag and Board of Directors put the club and our
membership’s needs ahead of their own while making the many decisions in front of
them each and every month.
Linda and I are honored and humbled and we look forward to taking control of the
ship in 2018. I am counting on all of you to continue to put your trust in the Flag and
the Board for next year. With all of your help, we will continue to make NCYC the best
place to be on the Lake.
Don’t forget the work parties coming up the next two weekends. Bring a fellow
member and work as a team to close her up for the year.
