A disappointing January has given way
to what seemed to be the green shoots
of recovery in February! Three losses in
January to Scarlets (controversially); Exeter
(disappointingly); and Bordeaux (meekly) were
followed by bonus point wins over Edinburgh,
Glasgow and Zebre. Another plus was the
welcome sight of Marcell Coetzee wearing a
white jersey!

A bumper attendance of over 200 came along
to last week’s URSC Meet the Players Night
with Darren Cave; Andrew Warwick; Louis
Ludik and the imperious Ruan Pienaar. The
players were in top form – and voiced their
confidence that there was plenty to play for
during the rest of the season. Loads of photos
were taken and autographs signed. There
were 15 rugby ballot prizes including items
signed by the whole Ulster squad, and others
signed by the likes of Pienaar, Piutau, Cave,
Henry and Harinordiquay. A great night and
many thanks to the players, and to Anita from
Ulster Rugby.
