When to Apply

The fall priority period is Nov. 1-30.

Application Fees

The $70 application fee entitles you to apply to one UC campus. The fee for

international students is $80. Fee waivers are available to students who qualify.

You can apply for a fee waiver through the online admission application and be

notified immediately if you qualify. You will need to provide your family’s income

and the number of people supported by that income.

Required Tests

If you apply as a first year student, you must take the ACT with Writing and/or the new

SAT or SAT with Essay. You are expected to complete these examinations as early as

possible, but no later than December of your senior year.

Nov. 1-30:

Filing period for fall. Submit your application

online by 11:59 p.m. PST Nov. 30.

Dec. 1-31:

Take all of your required tests by December

of your senior year.

Jan. 1:

Start filing your GPA Verification Form

(required for Cal Grant consideration).

March 2:

Deadline for applicants for all terms to

submit FAFSA, California Dream Act

application and GPA Verification Form.

May 1:

Deadline for first year students admitted for

fall to submit their Statement of Intent to

Register (SIR).

July 1:

Final official transcripts must be postmarked

or electronically submitted to the Office of

Admissions for students admitted for fall.

July 15:

Final test scores due at the Office of

Admissions for students admitted for fall.
