Volunteer Match Program
Welcome back to Frenchman’s Creek! We hope to see members participating in our unique
Frenchman’s CreekVolunteer Match Program. Watch for the first newsletter in October.
In the meantime we have received requests for volunteers from
MorseLife
to help in the delivery of
Rosh Hashanah meals on September 11
th
. It’s very easy to do. If you are interested, call Linda Sevich at
(561) 687-5791.
Another request came in from the
Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County.
If you would
like to spend an hour reading to pre-school and kindergarden children and participate in the Literacy
Coalition “Read for the Record”, call Connie Hake at (561) 767-5374. The book is “Not Norman: AGoldfish
Story”. No training sessions are required.
Finally, although there are many agencies that will come and pick up your no-longer needed clothes and
household items, there is one that will not. It is the
YWCA of Palm Beach County
that supports
women’s shelters. Volunteers are needed who are interested in organizing the collection and delivery of
clothes, baby items and small household items to the mainYWCA office inWest Palm Beach.
Mark your Calendar for our first
Volunteer Showcase
on
Thursday, November 12
th
from

any questions about the Volunteer Match Program or would like to pick up a brochure and Resident
