of
syrup

The
horse
should
have

couple

mashes
the

before
this
ball
is
given,
by
way

preparation,
and
the
ball
should
be
given
fasting
the
morning
follow-
ing;
let
him.
fast
for
2
hours
after,
then
give
him
a
mash
of
scalded
bran
and
oats,
with
warm
water,
and
treat
him
in
the
same
manner
as for
other
physic.

twisted

animal

wise,
drawing
it
back
by
both
ends,
and
tying
it
tightly
around
the
roots
of
the
horns
at
the
back
of
the
head,
till
the
jaws
are
fully
opened
and
gagged.
If
this
is
done
in
the
stall
and
the
animal
is
able
to
stand
or
walk,
it
should
be
turned
out
at
once
and
kept
moving
about,
when
in
a
few
minutes
the
dis-
tension
will
subside
and
all
will
be
well
again.
