The Gazette of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland.

[APRIL, 1918

holding he has so purchased in a husband-

like manner,

they are always willing to

consider applications of a

bonafide

nature put

before them under the Section with such an

object.

Accordingly,

they will be prepared

to

consider an application from a person who

- contemplates purchasing in such a manner,

provided such application is joined in by the

proprietor (registered owner) of the holding

to be sold.

In practice, however, there is no

necessity to depart from the existing pro

cedure, as it will be quite sufficient to disclose

the position in paragraph 7 of the existing

form for use in such cases, as in fact is now

done in some instances.

The Commissioners will not, however,

consider applications of this nature from

" outsiders " with regard to holdings in which

the proprietor does not join, for reasons which

will be fully obvious to your Council.

The Commissioners regret that tney could

not at the present juncture give an under

taking to dispose of all such applications

within 14 days as suggested by Mr. Wray,

but they most certainly will endeavour to

expedite all such applications and have them

disposed of within a reasonable time, but it

must be remembered that each case has to be

taken up in its turn, and where inspection is

necessary there may be unavoidable delay.

I am, Sir,

Your obedient Servant,

(Signed), T. GEO. H. GREEN.
