early 1800s and has pioneered the shape and sizes of pudding basins

A pudding must be sealed before steaming. The rim of the

Mason Cash Pudding Basin is shaped for this purpose.

The vented base of the pudding basin allows bubbles to

escape from underneath the basin, preventing it from

tipping over in a pan.

The classic shape of the basin allows easy release of the

pudding after steaming, giving a pudding its distinct shape.
