OK, now you know about personal safety. Before you operate any boat, you

should also understand Boating Law and the Rules of Navigation.

Boating Law includes registering your vessel properly, and knowing and using

the right safety equipment. The Rules of Navigation enable you to handle your

vessel when other boats are around, and safely launch in harbors and other

busy waterways that use aids to navigation (called ATONs). Know the rule and

help prevent accidents.


